Carmen and Jouan Cox are the dynamic and complimentary husband-and-wife team behind Top Notch Physical Therapy Motion and Wellness, located in Conyers, Georgia. Their journey into physical therapy began with a shared passion for helping others, a passion that led them to found Top Notch Physical Therapy, where they could prioritize providing exceptional, patient-centered care that other clinics in the local area were not offering.

Dr. Jouan, a native of Jackson, Tennessee, is a Doctor of Physical Therapy who earned his degree from Alabama State University. His expertise lies in treating orthopedic conditions, and he is also certified in dry needling – a technique he uses to help relieve muscle tension and pain. For Jouan, physical therapy is more than just a profession; it’s a vocation. He finds great satisfaction in forming long-lasting relationships with his patients, getting to know them beyond just their physical needs, and helping them return to a state of health and mobility. His approach is one that values personalized care, where every treatment plan is tailored to the individual’s unique goals. Jouan’s dedication to patient care has earned him a stellar reputation in Conyers, and his passion for helping others is evident in the way he approaches his work every day.

Dr. Carmen Cox, hailing from Decatur, Georgia, brings a wealth of experience to the practice. She holds both a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Alabama State University and a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Alabama A&M University. Carmen’s specialty areas include both neurological and orthopedic conditions, and she is also certified in dry needling. In addition, Carmen holds certification as a lymphedema therapist, a field she is particularly passionate about. Her expertise in this area allows her to provide specialized care to individuals dealing with lymphedema, helping them manage and reduce swelling, improve their quality of life, and regain independence. Her approach to patient care is deeply compassionate, treating each patient as if they were family. She is not only focused on physical recovery but also on emotional and mental well-being, ensuring that patients feel supported throughout their healing journey.
